Obituary of Velma Ruth Christie Reed

Reed, Velma Ruth Christie Born in 1919 to Ethel Waters and Sam Christie in Frisco, Texas. Velma Ruth passed away March 30, 2009. Preceding her in death: her husband of 65 years Millard Reed, son Jimmie, daughter Carolyn, and sister Etta Ownsby. She leaves to mourn her: brother S.W. Christie, daughter Patricia Carroll and her husband Ken, grandchildren Kimberly Papa and Amanda and Jack Carroll, great-grandson Timothy Rivera, great-grand-daughter Sarah Irvin, great-great-granddaughter Haley Rivera, and many nieces and nephews. Velma enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, reading, and travel. Visitation at Restland/Wildwood Chapel at 2 pm, followed immediately by the funeral service at the same location at 3 pm, on Friday, April 3.
